"Hot Bites"

MarchPrespawn walleye - all of March continuing into April is the best time of year to catch that "wallhanger walleye".

April - High water in April brings some great fishing for smallmouth, largemouth, and northern pike.

May - Smallies, largemouth and northerns continue.  Postspawn walleye.  Panfishing kicks in crappies, bluegills, and perch.

June - One of the best months of the year!  Walleyes, bass, northerns, panfish, catfish, you name it!  We will catch in June.

July - July brings the diversity the "big river" has to offer.  Want to learn some summertime patterns?  Sandbar walleyes, wing dam walleyes, walleyes in snags.  Northern pike headed to cool water.  Shallow water catfish, deep water catfish.  Bass in current.  Panfish everywhere!  Something's always biting on the river!

August - Catfish will kick into high gear.  White bass start to feed on shad.  I've stumbled onto a livebait system for smallmouth bass that will start in August and continue through September into October.  This system is so incredible you've got to see it to believe it!

September - A transition month, as the water starts to cool down, catch the mixed bag the river has to offer.  Walleyes, smallmouth and largemouth bass, catfish, white bass, crappies, bluegills, and perch.

October - My favorite month of the year.  Walleyes, smallies, white bass, crappies, and catfish.

November - Walleyes, walleyes, walleyes!
